It sounds simple, but acceptance is one of the most powerful practices that allows us to get past disappointments, frustrations, and resentments.
If we don’t accept something, it means that we are still entangled in it, we are pushing against it, and we can’t let it go.
If we can fully accept everything: our situation, ourselves and our actions, and other people and their actions, we can stop resisting whatever is bothering us, which allows us to move past it.
We don’t have to like it, we only have to accept it.
